Support for clean and resource-efficient technologies of strategic importance

The information presented below is based on the public consultation stage of the procedure, which took place in April 2026. Changes may be introduced in the final version of the call conditions.


Objective

The procedure aims to encourage investments in the adoption of green technologies by enterprises, thereby accelerating the transition towards a circular economy.


Eligible Applicants

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) established no later than 31 December 2023.


Eligible Activities

Component I (Mandatory) – Activity 1

Implementation of green technologies supporting circular production and consumption models in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Improving waste management.

  2. Optimising the use of raw materials, including water.

  3. Reducing the use of packaging.

  4. Manufacturing or providing sustainable products and services.

Component II (Optional) – Activity 2

Achieving compliance with environmental management standards:

  • EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme)

  • ISO 14001

  • ISO 14006

  • EU Ecolabel


State Aid Regimes

For the mandatory Component I, applicants may choose between two aid schemes:

  • Regional Investment Aid

  • De Minimis Aid

For the optional Component II, only the De Minimis Aid scheme is eligible.

  • Medium-sized enterprises (De Minimis): €300,000

Eligible Costs

Component I

Investment in:

  • Tangible fixed assets (machinery, equipment, production assets)

  • Intangible assets (software, patents, licences)

The investments must be directly related to the implementation of green technologies.

Component II

Consultancy services for implementing and obtaining certification under environmental standards, with eligible costs of up to €15,000.

Application Process
